Have you ever seen this many marked turtle nests...at any beach let alone Turtle Beach? On this early Sarasota morning, I noticed several of these nests are recent w/in a day or 2 while the turtle tracks are still visible. If you're not aware, these are large turtles coming ashore to lay eggs. After a quick stop by Turtle Beach, I'm swinging over to the Farmers Market in Downtown. An angler accidentally caught a fat and healthy immature, green sea turtle from the Myrtle Beach State Park pier on Wednesday. The hook was easily removed from the turtle and since it looked healthy, we released it from the beach in the hopes that it wouldn't get caught again.
