The fish is round in shape, symbolizes tuan tuan yuan yuan "reunion", the meat is sweet and it's very meaty during this time of the year, hokkien we say "tio see", as in "in the season". Ah Pa bought this 600gram chinese pomfret at about RM100/kg, to me it is very reasonable as in previous years, Ah Pa has seen it went up higher than RM300/kg.
