Create the ultimate deer scent hub with the HODAG HempScent Rope System. More deer pictures, videos, and hunting opportunities! HODAG HempScent rope is specifically blended with natural, non-chemically treated hemp fibers. This allows for maximum absorbtion, durability, & effectiveness in the deer scent communication process. Other man-made ropes (such as Manilla, Cotton, Polyester, and Nylon) do not posess these qualities, are susceptable to breakdown in the elements, and are chemically treated

When you are setting up your HempScent Rope scrapes, or any scent up, we’ve found it to be very important to clear the area around it to allow for the deer to approach it from multiple directions, and feel comfortable coming up to it. I’ve often seen customers who have their ropes hanging with brush, tall grass, or the base of their tree close to the rope. Especially when it comes to mature deer, they want to access it from down wind, and clearing a lager area around your setup with a weed whack

“If you can’t get a deer to touch it in two weeks, it’s in the wrong spot.” All we are doing when making these mock scrapes and scent hubs with our HODAG HempScent Ropes is teeing up, and enticing the deer to communicate via scent, just like they do every day. We are just getting them to do it in spots that are advantageous as the hunter. I get guys that message me and tell me they’ve “the rope doesn’t work, I’ve had it hanging for two years and not a deer has touched it.” The reality is, if you

What am I typically looking for when I want to hang a HempScent Rope and tips that will help you find success! 👍🏻🦌 1.) I’m looking for a heavily used trail or even better intersecting trails in the area I’m looking to put it 🦌 You can only get deer to use your setup if there are deer using that route! 2.) I’m looking for an overhanging branch that sticks out over the trail, and hanging the rope setup right over the top of said trail at belly button height (3.5ft)! We see people hanging ropes

A more in-depth explanation of how and why we have made a HempScent Rope mock scrape in this location for multiple years in this field edge location. When making your hemp rope scrapes, we’ve found that the more “in the face” of the deer the better. Deer are lazy; and we’ve found our best and most interacted setups are on locations where the deer are already traveling. Small details can make big differences as well. In this instance, it’s the difference of about 10 feet out over the fence line a

How high should you’re rope be when making your HempScent Rope mock scrapes? We’ve found the best to be 3-4 feet, with 3.5 feet being perfect. When I get messages from folks who aren’t getting pics of deer using their rope scrapes and I ask them to send me a picture, very often they have them hung way too high. If the deer can’t reach them they won’t use them! | HODAG Outdoors

Treat Yourself! 😂 Our HempScent Rope Single-Setup includes a 4 oz bottle of our AllSeason Scent which is unique in the fact that we designed it to only be used one time…during the inital setup! 🔥🦌 This scent triggers natural deer interaction where they drop their own scent creating a snowball of natural whitetail communication! This allows you to be in the wood less putting less pressure on your deer! 🙌 | HODAG Outdoors

A question I get all the time is “how high should my rope be?” When making their mock scrapes. This is also an issue I see often when guys can’t get deer to use their sets is that they are too high. We’ve found the perfect height is 3-3.5 feet from the end of your rope to the ground, or about belly button height for the average guy! 📸🦌🏹 #deerhunting #mockscrape #hemprope #trailcamology | HODAG Outdoors
