Desert shrubland and volcanoes 🐪🌋 Ethiopia’s Afar region spans an estimated 270 000 sq km, from close to the border with Eritrea towards the capital of Addis Ababa. The differences in altitude are represented in the variations in colour. The area dominated by yellow, signifies changes in vegetation found at higher altitudes.
