Metronome tips! There is a lot you can do with the metronome, such as getting a 2-4 swing feel. First, we set the metronome to 180 BPM and play a scale with quarter notes. The feel is straight. Let's set the metronome to half-time or 90 BPM to get a swing feel. Consider the clicks to be your 2 and 4 counts. We start with a very slow beat and follow along with body movements. Here I am using a balance cushion but you could just march in place.
