20 years ago, after Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, IDES quickly mobilized to help. Through the Christian Church of Slidell, LA, we were able to establish a base that served Pearlington, Mississippi-- an area devastated by the high winds and horrific flooding. Through the incredible generosity of our churches and individual donors, IDES built 36 new homes, restored several others, and planted a New Testament Church that is still serving the community today.
