Showers could linger in Los Angeles on Tuesday following four straight days of rain — and even more rain is likely on Thursday and Friday.
The third of three storms that raked across the capital region and California dropped nearly an inch of rain on parts of Sacramento overnight and more than an inch in the Sierra foothills, with fresh snow piling up in higher elevations. And another weather system is taking aim at Northern California later this week.
Though conditions began to improve on Nov. 16, forecasters warned that another storm system is expected to bring more rain on Nov. 17 and 18.

Disruption has continued after a major incident was declared in Monmouth following severe flooding caused by Storm Claudia. Emergency service crews have responded to more than 80 calls in the South Wales town, carrying out rescues, evacuations and welfare checks, the fire and rescue service said.
At 11:17 p.m. on Sunday, the NWS Las Vegas NV released a winter storm warning valid from Monday 10 a.m. until Tuesday 10 p.m. for Eastern Sierra Slopes of Inyo County and White Mountains of Inyo County.
Evacuation warnings are in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday through 11 a.m. Sunday in areas near recent burn scars, due to the risk of mud and debris flows.
