The Phoenix Suns thought they'd built a championship team when they traded for Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal to pair with Devin Booker. Two years and zero playoff wins later, the Suns are dismantling that team.

Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports reported that Beal's buyout is "imminent," and he's likely to have $96.9 million of the $110.8 million remaining on his contract stretched over the next five years. That would allow the Suns to avoid going over both tax aprons.

Once he hits NBA free agency, two suitors in the Eastern Conference could be battling for him. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald said that with the Suns set to buy out Beal, the Miami Heat have emerged as a top landing spot.
