Karolina Muchova snapped U.S. Open champion Aryna Sabalenka's 15-match win streak to shock her 7-6(5) 2-6 6-4 in the China Open quarter-finals on Friday, while Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen beat Mirra Andreeva 5-7 6-0 6-4 to reach the semi-finals.

Karolina Muchova has ended second-ranked Aryna Sabalenka’s 15-match winning streak with a 7-6 (4), 2-6, 6-4 victory in the China Open quarterfinals.

Last year, Muchova also famously came back from 2-5 down in the third set of the 2023 French Open semifinal to beat Sabalenka. Since she also defeated the Belarusian in 2023 Cincinnati, she now has three consecutive wins over the world No. 2.
