Eddie Gonzalez was sentenced to 3 years in the death of Manuela “Mona” Rodriguez but won’t serve more time in custody

Eddie Gonzalez faces either three years or six years in state prison under a plea agreement, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Eddie Gonzalez was sentenced to three years in prison Tuesday for the Sept. 2021 shooting death of an 18-year-old woman that occurred about a block from a high school. He has already served the sentence through a combination of jail time and electronic monitoring.
