Rainfall totals could range from 4 to 12 inches in the Bahamas and eastern Cuba, more than enough to trigger flash flooding.

As expected, Imelda strengthened into a hurricane Tuesday morning, Sept. 30. And it's not done yet.

Imelda could bring 2 to 4 inches of rain and a dangerous storm surge to the island, the hurricane center said.
