The National Weather Service confirmed that two deadly tornadoes caused significant destruction and multiple fatalities across Wise and Parker counties during a night of severe storms in North Texas.

Multiple tornadoes, massive hail and damaging winds tore through North Texas, leaving injuries and major destruction behind.

Family and Wise County officials have identified the man who died Saturday night when a tornado swept through a Wise County town. Juan Madrid died after an EF-2 tornado hit his home in Runaway Bay, according to his daughter Jackeline Madrid and Wise County Judge J.D. Clark.

Cleanup efforts will begin on Monday after a deadly tornado displaced residents, downed trees and destroyed homes in Runaway Bay, officials say.

"Please know this: Wise County takes care of Wise County, and we are going to stand strong and we're going to stand together," County Judge J.D. Clark said.

A severe weather threat returned to North Texas on Tuesday evening with reports of massive hail and several possible tornadoes.

The storm required major emergency responses due to damage and several people being displaced in Wise and Parker counties Saturday night.

The wild weather came just days after a tornado-producing thunderstorm left at least two people dead in northern Texas and displaced at least 20 families.
