A frantic search continued on Saturday for about two dozen people still missing from a century-old Christian girls' camp in central Texas after flash floods in the area killed at least 24 at the start of the U.

That includes 40 adults and 28 children. Ten girls from Camp Mystic are still missing, along with one counselor.

The Guadalupe River flooded early on Friday, July 4, as heavy rains prompted evacuations in the area. Emergency responders are frantically searching for several residents, and children from nearby summer camps are missing.

The flooding in central Texas originated from the fast-moving waters on the Guadalupe River on Friday, killing more than 70 people, including 15 children. Authorities say search and rescue efforts are still underway for dozens missing from a summer camp for girls.
