As millions of Americans hunker down for the winter storm, 19 states and Washington, D.C., have declared states of emergency.

NASCAR shortened the schedule for this weekend's Clash exhibition race in Winston-Salem to just one day in anticipation of more ice and snow.

"There is a growing potential for accumulating snow and gusty winds for Cape Cod, the Islands and perhaps further westward into South Shore and the I-95 corridor."
