Digging out was challenging for some
From Milwaukee's east side to the North Shore, people had to dig out to get out Monday morning,
The National Weather Service has issued blizzard warnings for portions of east central, south central and southeast Wisconsin through 4 p.m. Monday. Blizzard conditions may linger once the brunt of the storm has passed.
Winds peaked near 60 mph and will slowly go down this evening. By late tonight, gusts should only reach 30 mph.
Officials in Central Wisconsin report vehicles stuck in roadways, drifting snow forcing a highway closure and difficulty finding a place for all the snow from a March 14-16 blizzard.
Gov. Tony Evers declared a state of emergency on Saturday, March 14, as some areas of Wisconsin received more than two feet of snow. Snowfall rates of a half-inch to an inch an hour are forecast to continue through most of Monday morning across southern Wisconsin.
