Jazz Fest adjusted several Thursday performances as storms moved toward the New Orleans metro area, including an earlier start time for Widespread Panic on the Festival Stage.

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Thursday morning announced it’s shifting around its music lineup for the day, including moving jam band Widespread Panic’s start time up several hours, as potentially dangerous storms approach the New Orleans area.

The Orleans Parish Assessor’s Office has not been shy about holding reserves in prior years, and it has occasionally sent extra cash back to City Hall. The Bureau of Governmental Research noted a $2.2 million transfer in 2016, a reminder that the office has played fiscal partner before.
