Former Texas A&M standout Dexter Dennis is on his way to earning a roster spot for this upcoming NBA season. Playing for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA’s Summer League, Dennis put up 10 points, two rebounds and an assist in his Sunday start and 90-88 victory against the Golden State Warriors.

It’s July, which means the NBA Summer League is right around the corner. All 30 teams are set to arrive in Las Vegas for the 10-day event that features young players looking to make their mark at the next level with others there on a tryout basis to earn a roster spot — NBA or G-League — for the upcoming season.
