As Israelis commemorated the Oct. 7, 2023, attack that led to the war in Gaza, Hamas launched a rare rocket attack at Tel Aviv, saying it was targeting “the depths of the occupation.” The rocket strike did little damage, and hours later, Israel responded with what it said was an attack on the rocket launcher that had fired the projectiles.

At least 10 people were injured after missiles fired from Lebanon hit the city of Haifa. The attack came as Israel marked the first year anniversary of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack.
