In Greater Akron portions of northern Medina, Summit and Portage counties are suffering from a "moderate drought" while southern areas of those counties are "abnormally dry" with no relief in the forecast.

Hurricane Humberto is expected to pass near Bermuda during Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing the risk of strong winds, heavy rainfall. The powerful hurricane will create massive seas over the western Atlantic.

A few light showers hang on mainly south early today, but drier air wins out this afternoon and tonight, leading to a mostly dry mid to late week. Skies gradually brighten, humidity dips, and highs settle in the mid-70s through Friday. The weekend edges warmer, near 80°, with a low-end shower chance near the beaches as winds turn easterly.
