The first Artemis moonshot with a crew is now targeted for no earlier than Feb. 8, two days later than planned.
NASA is providing a 24/7 live feed of the Space Launch System rocket on the launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The buzz is building for NASA’s Artemis II mission that will send four astronauts on a 10-day voyage around the moon. The highly anticipated endeavor will be the first crewed moon-bound flight since the final Apollo mission way back in 1972.
NASA is getting ready to launch its massive, fully expendable rocket for the first crewed flight to the Moon since Apollo. The agency’s new era of spaceflight comes with a few parts from its past, specifically three rocket engines that have previously flown on space shuttle missions.
The Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft are at Launch Pad 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Artemis II could launch in February.
