"Texas stands ready to respond to the severe weather threats that continue to move across our state," Abbott said in a statement.

A Flood Watch is in effect for South-Central Texas through Friday evening due to multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms bringing the risk of flash flooding, especially in areas with poor drainage.
