Two Powerball players just missed the jackpot — but still scored big windfalls in North Carolina.

The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Saturday, Oct. 5 drawing with a jackpot that reached an estimated $302.6 million ($145.1 million cash value). The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.

The cost is $2 per ticket, but you can add the Power Play for $1, which will increase the amount of your potential prize up to five times the original prize (except for the jackpot and Match 5). There is also a 10x Power Play possibility when the jackpot is less than $150 million.

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $295 million with a cash option of $147.9 million. The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in the New York City area and Fox 29 in the Philadelphia area.
