Fortnite's October 5 event introduced Doctor Doom as a massive NPC boss. Players teamed up to battle him in a live event. Although defeated, Doom escaped through a Rift.

There has yet to be an official start point for Fortnitemares announced so far; however, it will be this month. Popular leaker HYPEX has stated the event start date will fall between the 11th and 15th of October, which is in line with previous years.

Fortnite's annual Halloween event, "Fortnitemares," often brings a handful of new skins and activities to the game, and this year's will follow suit.

We’re being spoiled this season, as there is not just one live event coming for Chapter 5 Season 4, but two, and the first is coming this week, almost a month before the end of the season. Doctor Doom’s plans are coming to fruition sooner than expected and we’re going to have to do something to stop it to prevent a calamity.
