Race Day for the 152nd Kentucky Derby finally arrived on Saturday. While the horses deservedly took center stage at Churchill Downs, the hats ran a close second. Derby fashion has become as much an annual tradition in Louisville as mint juleps and the race itself.

Much like its big brother on Saturday, Friday’s Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs projects to be wide open. Mike Repole’s Zany, which drew into the No. 2 spot, is the lukewarm favorite at 4-1, but the oddsmakers don’t see much of a difference between her and the chasing pack.

Ahead of the 152nd Kentucky Derby, LBF heads to Churchill Downs. Some of the folks we met include a country and R&B duo from Kentucky who were set to perform.

The Kentucky Oaks always kicks off Derby Weekend with high fashion and high-stakes races at Churchill Downs. This year in Louisville is no exception.
